Child Development Milestones that Every Child Goes Through

from: ParentingKidsToday.com

How do you if your kid is going through child development milestones?

It is when they does not appear to be the baby that they once were. There will eventually come a time when they already understand what you are saying, begins doing things on their own and does not need you to cater to every move they that make.

In child development, there are milestone stages that your child goes through.

What are these stages?

1. The ability to speak and understand.

There will come a time when your toddler will start speaking his first word. It may come as a surprise for you how he suddenly uttered words without having been commanded to do so. During this stage, your child is learning how to speak. They may not be as perfect as yours, but it is a start.

You will also notice that your toddler can already understand what you say to them. This may be a command or a question. What's more, he can even give you an answer in his own little way when you ask.

This is one child development milestone wherein your child is learning how to communicate.

2. The ability to use his strength.

Once the muscle of your child is strong enough, you will see him holding out his hands or grabbing yours. Also, he will start kicking his legs, start crawling and even begin sitting down.

This is his motor skills milestones. During this stage, your child is learning what it is like to use his muscles to be able to make some parts of his body do some work necessary for him to move around.

Most of the time, you will see him picking up objects to his own freewill. When he gets older, he will be able to walk, hop and jog around on his own. This is one way of knowing that his motor skills are now fully developed to be able to hold his body and weight.

This milestone is also seen once he begins picking up a book or holding on to a crayon and coloring his books. In this stage, he already has a control on what his hands should do.

3. The ability to feel and to socialize.

This milestone is best seen when your child starts gesturing towards other people or even talking with them. This is the stage where he is learning how it is like to interact with people other than those that are in your home.

Different emotions will be shown through the interaction. You should not worry if there are shift in these emotions because it is normal and is part of their development.

In later years, he will learn how it is like to play with other kids. This will eventually turn to making friends and keeping that friendship for a long time.

4. The ability to come up with answers.

This child development milestone is better known as the cognitive development. Children will begin to explore their environment. Your child will get curious about everything and will want to see and find answers to what is bothering him.

It is during this child development milestone that your child will start gaining knowledge about life and about people and things around him.

Child development milestones are the changes that your child is going through. These changes are needed in their growing up years. It is what makes them better individuals. It is also what will prepare them for their adult years.
