They believe that the lines and the curves and whatever they put into the piece of paper have something to say to the situation of the patient before. They are also related to the personality he has.
Art for children are not just for fun or just as a plain pastime. It is a way where a child can express himself and learn to socialize with other children. This can also be their way of practicing their muscles in order to have stronger body. All in all, art can help your child build up the confidence he will need in facing the world.
You can always teach art even if you are at home. It can be done in different ways. One is by means of direct teaching. Second is by integration. Lastly, is through indirect teaching.
Direct art teaching is very good for music and dance teaching. This type of art teaching needs a lot of body works to reach a certain goal. A teacher must also be attentive to the child's development and must be focused on it. Integration is a form of teaching wherein, parents as teachers will be the ones to teach the child. It is a very easy way of teaching and does not need a greater effort. All you need to do is to open up a conversation with your child and discuss. This form of teaching does not need a formal surrounding for the child to learn. It is basically learning from what he is doing. It is possible to learn art while the child is playing, studying, taking a bath, etc. By means of integrating an art theory or activity into the activity of the child, you are teaching him an art lesson. This is a form of direct teaching but involves less participation of the teacher. All you need to do is give instructions and let the child do it by himself. The fourth form of art teaching builds independence on the part of the child.
